It’s a $2,000 fine for a Webbwood woman after her shotgun went off and injured a man. Joanne Scarrow was a passenger on a recreational vehicle north of Cartier hunting small game. Scarrow saw a grouse in the distance, loaded her shotgun and while getting out of the ATV the shotgun went off and hit the driver in the leg. She was charged with discharging a firearm without due care for people or property. In addition to the fine, Scarrow has lost her shotgun to the Crown forever.
