Sometimes you can be at the right place at the right time as a Desbarats man found out after winning the lottery. Thirty-seven-year-old Larry Cond was driving in White River when he stopped for gas and decided to buy a Daily Grand ticket. The ticket proved to be a winner giving him $25,000 a year for life. But Cond opted for the lump sum payment of half a million dollars. He plans to pay off the mortgage on the family home, set aside enough money for his future retirement and will buy his wife a nice dinner.
