Operating a boat on the French River will cost a Hamilton-area man. Someone saw the vessel being driven erratically and called the OPP detachment in Noelville. Police found the 46-year-old and the boat and say the man appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. The man, who is from Ancaster, is charged with having more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in his blood and operating a vessel while impaired.
