Fedeli say Hydro – Avista reveals hypocrisy of Wynne Liberals

The Progressive Conservatives are asking the Ontario Energy Board not to approve Hydro One’s request to raise energy rates.  Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli says the request follows Hydro One’s decision to buy the U.S. utility Avista for $7 billion.  Fedeli and his Tory colleagues are questioning why Hydro One wants higher rates but also has the money to buy another utility.  He says Hydro One now has access to $7 billion to buy a foreign company when instead the money should be used to lower rates.   Fedeli also says Avista is a major coal producer which makes the Wynne Liberals hypocrites.  He says for years the Liberals have been replacing coal with solar and wind but now they’ve put us back in the coal business with the Avista deal.
