Gateway announces casino for Sudbury’s east end

Sudbury’s east end is the site for a $60-million casino and entertainment site that includes several dining areas.  The news is from Gateway Casinos which took over the northern casinos from OLG on May 30th.  Gateway is partnering with True North Strong to open the casino by spring, 2020.  The facility would create 250 jobs in addition to pre-existing jobs at the slots at the Sudbury Downs racetrack.  Gateway will work with the Sudbury Downs as it takes over operations and starts the relocation process.  Gateway says it’s creating a vibrant regional entertainment district.
