Members with the Massey Minor Hockey are waiting to hear if the association broke the Guinness World Record for street hockey. The organization fielded 72 players in an effort to play the longest street hockey game with the most players. Along the way the event raised about $5,000 which will offset ice time and hockey tournament costs. One of the players, who also made a donation, was Carol Hughes, the MP for Algoma Manitoulin Kapuskasing. Moose FM in Espanola was a major sponsor of this event.
