Tory proposing 12-storey high wood-frame buildings for Ontario

Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli wants to see more wood used in buildings which he says would give the forestry industry in Northern Ontario a boost.  Fedeli has introduced a Private Member’s Bill to allow wood-frame buildings up to 12 storeys.  The current height limit is six storeys.  Fedeli says the change he’s proposing is similar to height limits already in effect in Quebec and British Columbia.  Fedeli is asking all MPPs to support his Bill which he says would have a positive impact across the province including creating more jobs.
