Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli doesn’t put much stock in the Liberal announcement to extend the studded tire season for Northern Ontario. Fedeli says allowing studded tires in September and May doesn’t do much for the north since snow rarely falls during this period. He says the announcement is pure optics. Fedeli says a better move is to ensure winter maintenance contracts are maintained to a higher degree so that highways are safe.
