New hockey league wants to host major junior championship

The newly formed Canadian International Hockey League is bidding to host an international championship scheduled for the 2015-16 season.  It’s the United Hockey Union International Championship.  If the bid is accepted, the game would be played out of the Master Card Centre, where the Toronto Maple Leafs now play.  The league includes the Espanola Rivermen who jumped from the NOJHL.  The regular season for the new league begins October 2nd.
