An ultra-light plane had to make an emergency landing on Highway 129 south of Chapleau. It happened just before 8:30pm Wednesday, about 25 kilometres from the community. OPP say the plane didn’t collide with any highway traffic and the pilot wasn’t hurt. The plane had left Parry Sound and was on its way to Wawa when the pilot was forced to make the emergency landing. Transport Canada is looking into the incident.
