Testimony begins in Espanola man sex crime trial

Testimonies have started in the case against an Espanola man accused of a number of sex crimes.

The Sudbury star reports a now 16-year-old boy has testified in Sudbury Court that, any boy who wanted drugs or alcohol in Espanola in 2011 would go see Paul McColeman. Forty-five-year-old McColeman is said to have allegedly used fake personas on social media to contact teenage boys in the area, offering them drugs, alcohol or cash, in exchange for sexual favours.

McColeman faces a total of 36 charges, including luring children and sexual exploitation involving a minor. His trial is expected to last six weeks.
