East Algoma OPP has charged two people from Cobourg after a gas theft in Iron Bridge.
It happened on Monday afternoon. Police say the get-away vehicle was found on Water Street in Thessalon, which an investigation determined had been stolen in Cobourg.
A 38-year-old man and 23-year-old woman were eventually caught, and have now both been charged in connection with the crime. Both face charges for theft over and under $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime over and under $5,000, and obstruction of a peace officer.
