Greater Sudbury man charged for first-degree murder

A Greater Sudbury man has been arrested for first-degree murder in related to a fire at a home in Sudbury.

Police say a man was killed in a detached shed at the home on Bancroft Drive last Friday morning.

On Sunday morning, police arrested the 29-year-old man allegedly behind the incident. He now faces charges of first degree murder, indignity to a dead body, arson, theft under $5,000 and failing to comply with probation.

The police investigation is ongoing.
