A Northern Ontario lobby group is commending the provincial Liberals on last week’s announcement on studded tires. The province is extending the use of studded tires in the north by an extra two months. The Federation of Northern Ontario Municipalities says the change shows the Liberals are starting to understand northern issues. Studded tires can now be used from September 1st to May 31st.
