The Elliot Lake Food Bank was a big winner over the long weekend. The agency collected more than $4,000 in food during an exhibition hockey game between the Elliot Lake Wildcats and Soo T-Birds. Admission to the pre-season game was a non perishable food item. The Cats lost the game 3-2 before more than 700 fans. The regular season begins September 10th for the Cats who play on the road against Sudbury.
