A swimming advisory is in effect for Spruce Beach in Elliot Lake. Algoma Public Health tested the water on August 18th and found too much bacteria in the water. The health unit says its water samples exceed guidelines for safe swimming. Although the beach isn’t closed, swimmers should consider the health unit’s findings before heading into the water.
