Several businesses could open in Sagamok thanks to entrepreneurial program

Don’t be surprised if several new businesses open up at the Sagamok First Nation.  Canadore College in North Bay taught a group of residents how to develop businesses based on their own ideas.  The 13-week program was designed for Sagamok specifically.  The students learned about competition, how much money their business would need to get off the ground and how risky is the venture.  The program was taught by Charles Gagnon, a former vice president of Tembec.  Gagnon says all 17 students in the program graduated and he believes Sagamok will see a number of new businesses open up very soon.
