The Espanola group raising money for a PET scan for the Health Sciences North hospital in Sudbury has company. Now a group in Sudbury wants the province to work with the Sudbury hospital to make the scanner a reality. The PET scan costs $3.5 million plus installation. Several Sudbury groups have already donated money for the equipment which helps detect various cancers and diseases. The Espanola group Teal for Toes is raising $10,000 as its share and a Restaurant Teal Day is set at Rustie’s at the mall for this Friday.
