Elliot Lake and area residents might be wondering about the status of the Pearson Plaza project which is supposed to house a Foodland. Moose FM talked to Sobey’s who say it’s still committed to the project. Sarah Stover, the company’s manager of communications, says work is still progressing to re-build. Stover was speaking on behalf of Pierre Vaillancourt, the owner of the Elliot Lake Foodland. He’s been operating out of the Collins Hall since the collapse of the Algo Centre Mall two years ago.
