Cooper moves up CIHL chain

A former resident of Little Current and Elliot Lake just got another promotion with the new Canadian International Hockey League.  Brent Cooper is now the league’s second vice-president in addition to his duties as director of internal communications.  Cooper’s hockey connections go back to the mid 90’s with the former Elliot Lake Vikings.  Up until the recent promotions, he also served as the director of scouting for the North Bay Trappers and the Espanola Rivermen.  Cooper was also a scout for the former Manitoulin Islanders and an assistant G-M with the Blind River Beavers.  League founder Tim Clayden says with Cooper on board, the international league just got better.  Cooper says the new league allows more towns to establish new teams that otherwise might never have that chance.
