Slowly but surely an Espanola woman who is confined to a wheelchair is getting closer to a new van. Jolene Courtemanche’s current van is near the end of its life and a replacement vehicle with a lift is $45,000. On the weekend, Stanley Park in Mindemoya raised four thousand dollars for the cause. In the week since fundraising activities began, about $7,500 has been raised for the new vehicle.
