Rock for a Cure raised $18,101 for the Northern Cancer Centre in Sudbury. This was the first time for the event in Espanola which featured 12 hours of rock music. The rock-fest was organized by Paul Tessier with help from his son Owen. Paul’s wife Kelly suffers from terminal breast cancer and has been getting treatment at the Sudbury centre. After the concert Paul Kelly said there’s no way to describe what everyone felt considering the amount of money was raised to fight cancer.
