Whoever shot a bear in Sudbury leaving it to die, has police sounding the alarm again. After the bear was shot, it made its way to a backyard in New Sudbury where it died as a result of the bullet wounds. Police, nearby residents and City Hall removed the carcass. The shooting has police reminding Sudbury residents that it’s illegal to discharge a firearm under the city by-law and the bear shooting also falls into criminal charges territory.
