Elliot Lake council will make history at its December 14th meeting. If there are no delays, that`s the night council will stream its meetings live over the internet. Mayor Dan Marchisella says crews are installing four high definition cameras and new audio equipment that`s state of the art. The cameras will switch to whoever is speaking at the time and the audio will be a vast improvement from current standards. Marchisella says after the meeting, people can also watch council on the City`s website and technology lets them zero in on specific parts of the meeting. It will take up to 48 hours to put the feed online following council`s meeting because closed captioning will also be added to the recording.
