Habitat for Humanity has a ground-breaking ceremony this Saturday in Espanola. It`s for the organization`s first ever home in Espanola and first duplex. However the project nearly didn`t happen. Residents opposed the duplex in their neighbourhood, and council sided with voters until it was told it had no legal leg to stand on. Council re-zoned the land in question paving the way for this weekend`s event. It`s at 10:00am on Adelaide and full construction begins next spring.
