Manitoulin is starting to get ready for the arrival of five refugee families from Ethiopia. The organizing committee is holding a collection day this Sunday at the Little Current United Church for new or gently used furniture. What`s also needed are general housewares and household goods as well as gift cards so the families can buy other merchandise. Three families have seven members, another is a mother with two young children and the fifth family is a grandmother and her grandson. They will live in Little Current, Gore Bay, Manitowaning and Mindemoya. Items can be dropped off from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.
