A pedestrian has died in Sudbury after being hit by a vehicle. It happened mid-afternoon Wednesday in the city’s downtown. Police haven’t released any further information. However the Sudbury Star says the victim was a 58-year-old woman who was hit by a grader while crossing the street with a walker. A witness told the Star the operator of the grader was backing up when he hit the woman. The collision took place shortly after 2:00pm. The incident resulted in the closure of several downtown streets while police looked into what happened.
