Police have recovered the body of a man who died as the result of a canoe mishap south of North Bay. The man was canoeing on Patterson Lake in Parry Sound District early Friday evening when the vessel capsized throwing the man overboard. People saw the man swimming to shore but that’s the last anyone saw of him. The man has been identified as 69-year-old Scott Johnson of Norfolk County in Southern Ontario. Divers found Johnson’s body about 450 feet from shore.
