Alcohol is a factor in nearly 40 per cent of boating incidents. That’s why this long weekend, the Northeast OPP are teaming up for Operation Dry Water. They will be patrolling area waterways for impaired drivers, and unsafe boating. Operating a boat while under the influence comes with the same consequences as driving a car while impaired. You will face criminal charges, and also have your driving privileges suspended.
