Algoma communities have the chance to create various projects thanks to the generosity of Soo Mill.
The Sault Ste. Marie-based lumber company is donating $100, 000 to various projects to recognize 100 years of business.
The funding amounts will range from one thousand dollars to five thousand.
A panel of judges will decide which applications are approved and their decision is based on several criteria including the uniqueness of the project.

Soo Mill will announce the winners through individual award presentations made in the Sault and Elliot Lake where the company has operated since 1974.
