Psychiatrist says accused was delusional at time of fatal stabbing

A psychiatrist says a Blind River man charged with stabbing his father to death should not be held criminally responsible.  And the crown attorney agrees.  Doctor Jeff Van Impe says 19-year-old Ian Hammond suffers from psychosis.  Van Impe says Hammond probably knew he was stabbing his father last year in March but didn’t know it was wrong.   Van Impe says Hammond was delusional at the time and believed his father was trying to hurt him so he acted in a self defense way.
