Two driver zapped for stunt driving same day, hours apart

A 19-year-old girl from Espanola and a 23-year-old man from North York have lost their driver’s licenses and vehicles for a week.  That’s their penalty after OPP officers from Manitoulin caught them  going more than 50 kilometres an hour in separate incidents.  The Espanola girl was stopped on Highway 6 in Central Manitoulin while the man zipped through a speed trap in Baldwin Township.  Both incidents took place last week on Sunday only a few hours apart.  Convictions on stunt driving can carry penalties as high as $10,000 in fines and six demerit points on your license on a first offense.
