Paramedics at Manitoulin-Sudbury EMS are teaming up for the Hair for Heroes event.
This event raises funds and hair donations for people battling cancer in Canada.Paramedic and Event Organizer Jess Wilkin says this year’s goal is to raise 150 inches of hair to make wigs for Pantene Beautiful Lengths and $3,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society Transportation Program.
Anyone can donate hair as long as it’s a minimum of eight inches and free of dye or chemicals.
The Hair for Heroes event takes place today 30 Wilson Street East.
