UCCM police have found the body of a Hamilton man who was the object of a search last month. In mid-March, Island police got a call that 36-year-old Derek Thivierge was missing. Island OPP helped the First Nation police look for the Hamilton man as well as North Shore Search and Rescue. However no one could find any sign of the man until this past Monday. Thivierge’s body was found in a wooded area near Highway 540 in M’Chigeeng. Police don’t suspect foul play.
