New Democrats in Algoma Manitoulin are expected to make Mike Mantha’s candidacy official next week as their nominee in next year’s election. The riding association is holding its annual general meeting where among other things the members will nominate a riding candidate. Considering Mantha is already the MPP, this is a no brainer. Delegates will also elect a new slate of officers. The guest speaker is the party’s health critic, France Gelinas. The AGM is at the Pinewood in Espanola and begins at 2:00pm.
