A former Elliot Lake Vikings player is now part of the Elliot Lake Wildcats. The organization has announced John Berthelot as its new assistant coach. The NOJHL has to still sign off on the announcement and assuming there are no glitches, Berthelot could be behind the bench by this Sunday. The Berthelot name is well known among long-time Elliot Lake and Blind River residents. John Berthelot, along with his brothers Dave and Marty, helped the Elliot Lake Vikings capture the 1982-83 NOJHL championship.
